‘Families of Clonmel is Applefest’s fifth book. To keep things fresh and challenging for everyone, they decided to change the angle with which to approach ‘Clonmel Humans’, choosing Family as this year’s theme. It is very much in keeping with the fesitval’s tagline thetiesthatbind.’

It features the stories of ten families, written by 10 outstanding community writers. They attended two masterclasses with Sean O’Connor, an experienced writing mentor, poet and writer.

These stories represent a tapestry of Clonmel, the core universal values that we cherish and the places that vanish and pass, each family bringing its own flavour, dedication and passion to the work and place they live in.
